Red and near infrared light therapy at Armos

Armos Therapy is planning to introduce LED light sessions using the Lumionyx Crystalbeam device as a complementary option alongside our care guided by assessment. The selected model is Lumionyx Crystalbeam; session details and availability are still being finalised.

About the approach

What is red light therapy?

Red and near infrared LED light are used in an approach often called photobiomodulation. Light is directed at an area without the pressure of treatment. The wavelength, dose, treatment area and suitability matter, so the final Armos process will depend on the equipment selected and individual screening.

Why people ask about it

Photobiomodulation is being studied for soreness after exercise and selected musculoskeletal concerns. Some studies report improvements, but findings vary across conditions and devices. We will not promise pain relief, faster healing or a fixed result.

How it may fit at Armos

We are considering it as an optional complement to our existing sports massage and manual therapy approach. Whether it is appropriate for an individual will depend on the concern, the selected equipment and safety screening. It is not a replacement for medical diagnosis or necessary care.

Evidence in context

Research is specific to the condition and light settings

A 2025 review of muscle soreness after exercise reported possible benefits in certain study settings. A review of low back pain without a specific cause did not find a reduction in pain and disability. These studies do not establish that the planned Lumionyx Crystalbeam device at Armos will deliver the same outcomes. We will update this page when the session protocols and availability are confirmed.

Suitability comes first

Before any future session, tell us about light sensitivity, medications that increase sensitivity to light, pregnancy, implanted devices, active skin concerns and relevant medical history. We will follow the selected equipment's instructions and discuss appropriate eye protection. If symptoms call for medical investigation, we will recommend that route.

Common questions

Before red light therapy launches

Is red light therapy available at Armos now?

No. Armos is planning this addition and has not confirmed a launch date or session details. Message us if you would like an update.

Will it be part of every therapy session?

No decision has been announced. If introduced, its use would be considered in light of individual suitability and the purpose of the session.

Can it treat my pain or injury?

Results in research depend on the condition and light settings, and a general website page cannot assess your concern. Armos will not promise a cure or a particular outcome. For new, worsening or unusual symptoms, seek appropriate medical advice.
